King Salman Park is a giga-project in central Riyadh being developed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) through the Royal Commission for Riyadh City. At its center sits a large public park, reported to be one of the biggest urban parks in the world once complete, built on land that includes the former Riyadh Air Base site.

What the Park Will Include

Beyond open green space, the master plan includes cultural and civic buildings such as the King Salman Grand Mosque, a national theater, a botanical garden, sports facilities, and residential and hospitality districts arranged around the park.

Construction has been phased over several years, with early landscaping and infrastructure work progressing ahead of the cultural venues. As with other Saudi giga-projects, official completion dates and final scope have shifted as planning has evolved.
